A beautiful situation and lots to do. Really enjoyed
the canoeing at Brantome and the tennis and swimming. As always
in France the food and wine were wonderful, especially the meal
at Sorges. Steve Frampton.

The children have loved in here - Relaxing for all
of us. Nice to have a break from the cooking, thank you Jeanette.

Beautiful location, wonderful accommodation and facilities,
especially the pool and tennis court. We particularly appreciated
the mountain bikes - good local small road rides (map in drawer).
3/4 hour bike ride to Jumilhac. Chez Eric was a good place for lunch
- lovely setting and extremely friendly owner - just one menu with
little choice but good honest home cooking. Canoeing at Brantome
was good fun and inexpensive - safe for adults and children. Hotel
des Boyageurs in La Coquille had good food but only worth going
to if you get a table on the terrace - too hot in August indoors.

Location, location, location, facilities, facilities
facilities, specification, specification specification, temperature,
temperature, temperature what else needs to be said. Just wonderful,
wonderful, wonderful. Recommend a visit to Oradour, Perigueux, Brantome
and St Jean de Cole. Thiviers market on Saturday is worth a visit
if you are fortunate to have a 2 week stay. Jumilhac Chateau only
has 6 rooms open which was rather disappointing. The record rally
on the tennis court has been set at 99. and beach volleyball at
58 in the swimming pool. Beat that if you can ! Clarks, Coopers
from Bromsgrove, Brampton.

Beautiful setting which more than lived up to its
description, lovely pool and tennis court. Very enjoyable local
bike rides including St Paul each morning where they kept the bread
for us each day. We were more fortunate at the Chateau at Jumilhac,
we went on a guided tour in English at 3.30 on a Tuesday and saw
about 7 rooms. Our meal in the square at Jumilhac was copious and
satisfactory; at Sorges we had a very good meal in very agreeable
surroundings at a surprisingly reasonable cost. We were delighted
when the deer came out to watch the tennis. Fawells, Metcalfes and
Rich.

We utterly endorse the beauty of the location, fabulous
early mornings with mist in the valleys. OUr meal at the Coq Rouge
in St Jean de Cole was good, though service a little pafunctory
- Chez Eric and Sorges more welcoming. Brantome lovely and walk
to paper mill, directly southwards along river Isle shady and satisfying.
All in all a lovely stay. The macmillans Clan.
